| The infamous (and brilliant) Trump Baby Balloon, a British confection which debuted in London in 2018 during Donald Trump's first Presidential term. |
"Absolutely, Stephen, do you understand? I’m the greatest president who’s ever lived. Do you understand that?"
- A statement attributed to Donald Trump, allegedly from a private conversation between he and ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith at a White House dinner earlier this month. See here.
"The United States of America, represented by me as your president, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t.
And this is an indelible stain on the country of Norway and those people that made such a disgraceful and embarrassing decision,” Trump continued. “The Nobel Peace Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti- democracy and really enemies of civilization, and we will not forget Norway, that
you didn’t give this prize with the greatest record in history."
you didn’t give this prize with the greatest record in history."
The president added that he should have received eight Nobel Peace Prizes for his efforts because he claimed to have ended eight ongoing conflicts... and for having 'saved more lives than anyone in history.'"
- Quoted from an NBC report regarding a petulant, delusional rant given by our fearless MAGA leader at a recent Republican hoedown after learning this year's Nobel prize went to South African jurist, Navi Pillay. Pillay previously served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Moreover, she researches and identifies contemporary war crimes and genocide, data Trump (and his fellow autocrats) might be inclined to ignore. Another point which undoubtedly sticks in Trump's craw is that Barack Obama - his nemesis (and a prince in comparison) - was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.
Perhaps, if Trump's goal was to eventually acquire a Peace Prize, he should've thought twice before slamming Norway. It is hardly doing "the most or the best work for fraternity between nations."
taking it upon himself to rename the Department of Defense the "Department of War." Apparently, "defense" is, once again, too woke, not blood-thirsty enough for MAGA. His rebranding of the department remains a sham, however, as do the majority of the claims he made during his tirade; it has yet to be passed by an act of Congress.
As for Trump winning a Nobel prize, well, after his disparaging (and lunatic) remarks about Norway - which were finalized by his bizarre notion that Pillay's award is "just another sign of how Norway and all these others are ripping off our country” - I think we can safely conclude that his ship has sailed... the coveted Peace Prize will forever remain a figment of his vivid imagination. In other words, our snarky "baby" threw his self "out with the bathwater." He has no one else to blame.
He who poisons the well... might (eventually) be forced to drink from it.

I began creating this post last week but I've had limited WiFi, so, finishing it became impossible. That being said, Halloween came and went, and my wifi returned just in time to attempt to put in an All Souls Day appearance on Trans D... and a few biased words here regarding the midterm election whichever transpires today. Yes, I know I'm late. My words will not influence this election. But, I post them anyway... just for the record.)
What triggered this post were two recent Trump episodes that I felt compelled to address. The Nobel Peace Prize debacle was the first outrage. For this, I brought back the Trump Baby Balloon - although it never really went away - because it, in the last analysis, is perfect for job. (Note: the Trump Baby Balloon - and it's maker, Matt Bonner - should've won the Nobel Peace Prize!)
I've little more to say about the Nobel episode, but I did fact-check DJT's illustrious peacemaking claims and, as anyone might expect, those "eight ongoing conflicts" have not, as the word "ongoing" implies, been solved. As for the second outrage, we must turn to Donald Trump's most recent spectacle played out at a rally in Michigan. t
Strangely, while most mainstream articles interpret Trump's latest stupidity as a compliment... some going so far as referring his remarks as "praise," in reality, praise was not involved. His exacta words were:
K
In actuality he referred to Minaj as "a beautiful ass" and, when he commanded her to stand up, his stance was not that of a great leader introducing his self-proclaimed "greatest fan" to his adoring crowd, but that of slaveowner selling his human merchandise at a slave auction. "That's hard to miss!" he crows gleefully.
And, yeah, it is. Nowhere is he more transparent than when he foolishly reveals his innate racism and sexism in an unceasing effort to inflate his fraudulent public image. Earlier in the show he went into this weird, faux-Gay monologue about several men's posteriors. Then, with Minaj, he attempted to shape-shift into a "gangsta" pimp... also faux, but his gullible MAGA crowd went wild. In reality, Nicki Minaj threw her self-respect away all for the love of a Trump Gold Card - Minaj arrived in this country illegally - and possibly a future position in his posse. It was all part of a business transaction.
On the topic of faux, here's something else I found in Wiki's Trump entry:
"Trump frequently makes false statements in public remarks, to an extent unprecedented in American politics. His false and misleading statements were documented by fact-checkers, including The Washington Post, which tallied 30,573 false or misleading statements made by him during his first presidency, increasing in frequency over time. His falsehoods are a distinctive part of his political identity and have been described as firehosing."
Regarding the word "firehosing," we click the link and we are led to a supplementary entry,: False or misleading statements by Donald Trump, where we find:
"In February 2025, a public relations CEO stated that the "flood the zone" tactic (also known as the firehose of falsehood) was designed to make sure no single action or event stands out above the rest by having them occur at a rapid pace, thus preventing the public from keeping up and preventing controversy or outrage over any specific action or event."

Sound familiar? Along with gerrymandering, $$$ bribes, and those of his billionaire supporters, the idea was to keep his MAGA minions in full control of Congress. And, he has gone so far as to tamper with the election process itself. Two recent examples:
Sadly, while the midterm elections are unlikely to erase the current face of America, a "Blue Wave" might restore some balance to Congress and - as British comedian and commentator, John Oliver, so eloquently reminds us - "Finally, on Tuesday, we have a chance to apply some f*ing brakes." Amen.
Inset right: Mrs. Potato Head and her blonde comb over. Yes, with little innovation and a few accessories you, too, can fashion a Trump Potato Head!
